Pakistan as i am...sorry

this may put me in trouble...
im in no mood of writing about the fashion world in a situation like what Pakistan is going through..
im sure you probably heard the SIALKOT issue.. im not into projecting whats wrong but man some things are just too much to handle...
this incident has rekindled my quest for any level of humanity or the search for a new definition of modern or civilized society prevailent in Pakistan.. im sorry again .. i am finding it harder to love the country and more importantly to live in the country that im supposed to call home... i have the option of not wanting to call it home.. for crying the dash out loud.. who calls a place home where 2 young men no matter how messedup they were or whatever the crime... beaten to death then hung in front of public on a main road in one of the centers of the country.. in the presence of police authorities... im sorry i cant call it home.. call me hypocritical or whatever.. its just not human.. the best part which is the worst part is that its been almost 7 days and nothing has happened except talking..
dont know how long this can go on.. dont know where we are headed as a country.. hardly a nation we are anymore. hardly joint by any sense of morality or religion or ideology or our so called proclamation to ISLAM... its all gone to the same place where humanism is or basic civic sense is.

its sickening. its beyond human to be living through this. they might as well be eating their meat all thats left. EFFF!

i have been trying to ignore all the news, all thats wrong so i can get my head into work and positive things that i can do on my own.. have doing my bit.. started teh UMEED thing.. tried sending some stuff to the areas affected by Floods in Pakistan, joined hands with the fashion fraternity to put up an exhibition to raise funds for the flood relief efforts, the event truned out great, a slight glimmer of hope still exists. Now working on another idea with CITY FM 89 and RADIO 1,FM91 alongwith many musicians like NOORI, ali Zafar, roxen, zeb and hanniya, karavan and fashion designers like maria b, myself, munibnawaz, probably a host of others will join in when we ask them to.. so hopefully this weekend 28/29th august at mall of lahore.. an activity amidst all teh negativity, lets see how much we can do. you are more than welcome to come if you read this in time.

there has to be a reason why all this is happening, its just not normal, and we should all make a conscious effort to ensure that this doesnt become normal. i mean all the politics, the crap, the floods, the lies about the numbers of people affected and dead, the lies about government commissions, the supposed enforced democracy in a country that can not really work on democracy without a laid out plan for its future.. every couple of years our plans for the country change, our direction changes, and everyone in the country is either quiet or insignificant, how do i lead myself to believe that i still want to work on my individual goals..?then i think i should directly get involved in politics, then i think im scared, if politics can make someone like IMRAN KHAN look like a villain, then the game is going to be pretty dirty. BUT i also cant just sit on my behind and keep on making happy collections for one fashion week after the other.

on the positive side, my 100th music video was released a couple of days ago song by EP called SHOR MACHA directed by Bilal lashari and i did the styling/wardrobe.
thin it turned out pretty darn good.. a song thats relevant in our society, an ideology that needed to be reminded and a melody that represents the youth of our country (atleast thats the hope)
heres the link to the video
